Mishbir OS : His White Shirt

Pin on mishbir

Mishti pulled at the hem of her husband's white shirt before stepping out of the bathroom. Her clothes had slipped from the clothes hook and they were all wet now. Her husband's white shirt, her favorite, the one she had spent many nights in, was the only other available piece of clothing, so she had just draped it around herself.
Pushing her glasses up her nose, she glanced at the clock, 10:21 PM. 5 more hours and she would be in Abir's arms again, she thought with a deep sigh.
Turning around, she reached for her closet when a large hand sneaked up her stomach, pulling her flush againt his chest.
"Abir" she squealed, her heart rate doubling up, "I missed you so much" she cried, letting her head nestle against his chest. He brought both his hands around her, hugging her from behind, "I missed you too" he said softly.
She let her hands drop over his, "you were supposed to be back only tomorrow" not that she was complaining, she thought happily, looking up at him behind her.
He tilted his head, smiling down at his wife. Watching the love and happiness dance in her eyes gave him such happiness. God how he loved this woman, and how he had missed her.
Without a second thought, he bent down and captured her lips with his.
Mishti's eyes fluttered close as Abir's lips landed on hers. He held her tight against him, one hand around her waist and the other around her shoulders and over her neck, tilting her chin up to meet his face, his long slender fingers caressing her cheek. As his lips gently nudged and parted her own, she eagerly responded.
She was in heaven. And she didn't plan to return anytime soon.
The hand that was caressing her cheek moved to her hair, and he suddenly pulled away.
Mishti blinked. What? It took her a couple of seconds to gather her senses before turning around and narrowing her eyes at her husband.
Only to find that he had a similar expression on his face too.
"What?" She asked, frowning.
"Your hair is wet" he stated matter of factly, matching her irritation with his own.
She had been irritated but not anymore, his concern for her at any time, at all times, always got to her.
She grinned like a child, "well" she drawled, stepping closer to Abir, their feet touching, their faces inches away,. She lifted a finger to his face, and traced his stubble with her hand, "it was wet a minute ago patidev, but your attention was elsewhere" she teased.
Abir didn't react - visibly. Maybe next time she'll use her lips instead, Mishti thought, looking over dismally at her finger on his cheek.
Damn this woman. It took every ounce of self control he had in him to stop himself from ripping off his shirt that she had put on, and nothing else - his stupid mind added as an afterthought as his eyes took in her appearance once more. His shirt clung to her curves, and fell a couple of inches short of her knees.
Hair! Think of her wet hair, Abir thought, willing himself to look away, as he felt his body react.
She chuckled. Abir pursed his lips as he heard Mishti chuckle - she knew the effect she had on him.
Mishti did a little mental victory dance, as she saw the desire in her husband's eyes. And then his eyes travelled to her face again, and there it was - the concern, the anxiety, the worry.
Her heart melted, dropping her seductive demeanour, she looked up into his eyes.
He shook his head, "you just recovered from a bout of acute wheeze. You were hospitalized. Did you forget how tough it was" Abir said, the mere thought of that visibly troubling him.
Her heart melted some more, she lifted her hand and cupped his face, "Abir!" She said gently, "that was a month ago. I'm fine now" she assured, closing her eyes and bringing his face down to hers until their foreheads touched.
Abir sighed, that was the most difficult time of his life - those nights in the hospital were hell, he thought, shuddering at the thought of the last month.
"Now, where were we" Mishti said, pulling back. Not breaking eye contact, she slowly lifted her hand to her shirt, HIS shirt that she was wearing, and slowly, very gently undid the first few buttons.
Abir was worried for her and her carelessness over her health, and he was angry about it. And then the woman had to lift her hands to her shirt, HIS SHIRT, and play with those damn buttons.
Not saying a word, verbally, but her eyes tempting the hell out of him, she slowly undid the buttons and he couldn't, for the life of him look away.
As she reached for the fourth button, he quickly reached out and covered her hand with his, lest he do something stupid - like ripping off the remaining buttons...
"Mishti..don't. just don't" he croaked, his voice, his eyes and every other cell in his body telling her otherwise.
She looked up at him with those lotus eyes of hers, and pouted. Sighing deeply, he forced his eyes shut and took a few deep breaths.
Once he trusted himself enough, he opened his eyes and fixed her with a glare, "Not now, Mishti" he said firmly, "your health first" with that, he gently removed her hand and silently proceeded to button up the shirt.
Mishti peered at him as he went about buttoning her shirt. He had his jaw clenched and his eyes set. Then he looked up at her, reached for her hand and wordlessly pulled her with him to the dresser. Catching her by her shoulders, he gently pushed her down on the chair and went to retrieve the hair-dryer.
Mishti gazed at her husband, amazed, as he went about drying her hair. His fingers gently moving portions of hair as he dried them. A slow warmth overtook her entire body, as she watched Abir through the mirror.
There were many reasons why she loved this man. But everyday he gave her new ones.
Abir caught her looking at him and he raised both his brows at her in question. She shook her head, smiling. Puckering up her lips, she sent him a kiss. He responded by smiling softly at her. Dropping a quick kiss on her hair, he looked at her again, his mesmerizing eyes danced with passion, "we'll dry your hair, and then -"
She knew where this was headed, but she still prodded him, "and then?"
"You don't like this shirt na, I'll take care of it in a while" he said, looking at her with those intense hazel eyes before winking at her.
And her whole body erupted into a rapture of sweet anticipation.
She was utterly, irrevocably and insanely in love with this man.
