It was the day of Preeti and Pushkar's wedding. The whole day had been chaotic with everyone running around trying to finish up some last minute preparations. After Sumo had finished helping Preeti get ready, she went to her room to get ready quickly. As Sumo was doing her hair, she couldn't help but remember how she hadn't seen Shravan in three days. To others, three days may seem like no big deal but for these two love-birds three days felt like an eternity. The reason for their lack of meeting was none other than an argument which broke out between the two. It started off as something silly but then things got a little serious when Shravan started throwing his temper tantrum and brought up some things from the past which made Sumo upset and angry.
Sumo sighed sadly as she thought about their last fight. She missed Shravan, that much was apparent but neither were willing to let go of their egos to take a step towards reconciliation. After finishing doing her hair and makeup, Sumo put on her lehenga which was a pretty shade of bluish-green. She tried to tie the dori on the back of her blouse but to no avail so she decided to call out to her masi for help.
"Masi!" Sumo called out peaking from the frame of the door in her room which was open slightly.
Sumo called out a few more times before giving up.
"Ghar mein itna shor ho raha hai ki masi ko meri aawaz shaayad nahi sunaayi di. Main khud phir se koshish karti hoon," Sumo muttered to herself, reaching for the dori on her back.
Sumo was so engrossed in her task that she had forgotten to lock her door. She didn't even notice the intruder who had entered her room and was now walking towards her.
Suddenly, someone took the dori from Sumo's hands. Sumo gasped in surprise and turned around to see none other than her super khadoos best friend standing there looking handsome as usual in a black sherwani. Sumo's heartbeat picked up but she refrained from showing her emotions to Shravan. She was still upset with him.
"Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?" Sumo asked Shravan crossly.
"Mujhe kisi ki aawaz sunaayi di toh main dekhne chala aaya. Shaayad kisi ko meri help ki zaroorat hai," Shravan replied with a smug smile forming on his face.
"Maine masi ko aawaz di thi, tumhe nahin. Mujhe tumhari help ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Jao yahan se," Sumo replied in turn, making sure to shoot Shravan one of her meanest looks.
Of course, that mean look didn't affect Shravan at all. In fact, he laughed out loud when he saw her glare.
"Mujhse se ab tak naaraz ho?" Shravan asked softly as he took Sumo's hands into his and looked at her intently.
Sumo looked up and thought sarcastically to herself, "Naaraz na rahoon toh kya karoon, tumhari aarti utaroon?"
Sumo bit her tongue and refrained from replying to him out loud. She looked everywhere but at him and this frustrated Shravan to no end. He knew what she was doing. She was making him suffer and he agreed he deserved it after all, he had hurt his Sumo. He had been getting the silent treatment from her for three days. He had called her yesterday to apologize but she hadn't picked up her phone so he had messaged her with a "Sorry."
"Sumoooo," Shravan groaned. "Maine tumhe sorry bola toh tha. Tumne apni messages nahi check kari kya? Aur maine tumhe call bhi kiya tha par tumne apna phone nahi uthaya."

Sumo finally looked up at him and replied with irritation apparent in her tone, "Aise kisi ko sorry bolte hai? Ek message ke through who bhi tab jab galti tumhari thi aur jhagda bi tumne shuru kiya tha."
"Main maanta hoon galti meri thi and I'm sorry Sumo. I'm really very sorry. Please mujhe maaf kardo. I miss you," Shravan pleaded feigning his signature puppy-dog eyes.
"Apology not accepted. Ab jao yahan se. Mujhe tumhari iss jhooti sorry aur help ki koi zaroorat nahi hai," Sumo replied as she turned around facing the mirror.
A slight smile graced her face as she pictured the cute look on Shravan's face. She knew he was sorry and she had already forgiven him too, but she wanted him to suffer a bit.
"Sumo tu kitni evil hai," Sumo thought to herself and smirked.
Suddenly, Sumo felt Shravan grab her waist and jerk her backwards, right into his chest. Sumo's eyes widened at the intimate position Shravan had initiated. She felt his hard chest pressed firmly against her back and she closed her eyes. She could feel the heat radiating from his chest and this was leaving Sumo breathless.
Sumo slowly whispered with her eyes still closed, "S-S-Sh-Shravan...tum yeh kya kar rahe ho?"
Shravan smirked seeing Sumo's closed eyes and whispered into her ear in a hoarse voice, "Tumhari help kar raha hoon."
With that being said, Shravan detached himself from Sumo and proceeded to tie the dori on her blouse. He made sure to lightly trace his hands across Sumo's neck just to get a reaction out of her. He loved how his sheer presence and closeness affected Sumo as he knew no one else made her feel the way he does.
All this time while Shravan continued to tease her, Sumo was breathing heavily and she felt herself turning into a puddle of mush. Shravan's closeness left her senseless. She was hyperaware of everything Shravan was doing right now and that included how he ran his hands across her back.
Sumo cleared her throat and tried to speak normally, "Shravan, chhodo mujhe. Koi dekh lega humme."
"Pehle tum mujhe maaf karo. Uske baad mein tumhe jaane doonga," Shravan replied cheekily pulling Sumo back into him.
"Shravan, jao yahan se, please. Mujhe masi aur mamiji ki help bhi karni hai," Sumo pleaded.
"Pehle maaf karo. I'm sorry Sumo. Please maaf kardo," Shravan whispered into Sumo's ear as he placed a light kiss on the side of her neck.
Sumo's eyes widened in surprised and she pushed Shravan away.
"Shravan, main tumhe maaf kar chuki hoon, okay. Ab jao yahan se isse pehle koi humme dekh le."
"Theek hai...tum itne pyaar se bol rahi ho toh main chala jaata hoon," Shravan smirked at Sumo and left her room.
Sumo sighed in relief. She could still feel Shravan's touch on her body and she instantly blushed a deep red.
"Shravan mujhe kisi roz pagal kar ke hi chhodega," Sumo spoke out loud looking at herself in the mirror and letting a smile grace her reddened face as she tried to calm her frantically beating heart.
*An Hour Later*
Sumo was helping mamiji with some last minute tasks before the bride and groom came out and sat in the mandap. All this time while Sumo was engrossed in her task, someone's eyes were on her and this someone was none other than Aditya. Sumo had noticed him staring at her but she disregarded it and continued with her work. Even then, he didn't leave her alone but kept offering to help her with things. He also refused to leave her side. There was someone else who had seen Aditya's stares and advances towards Sumo and who was now also fuming with anger and burning with jealousy. So when Sumo went to bring the last of the things Mamiji had asked for, she felt someone grab her hands and pull her into the room where all the things for the wedding were put. She was about to scream when she noticed it was just Shravan. (A/N: Aditya isn't all that bad in this version. He's still clingy and annoying but nothing like what he became in EDKV).
"Shravan! Main abhi bahot busy hoon. Please jaane do," Sumo pleaded looking at the door.
"Nahin. Pehle tum mujhe yeh batao ki tumne notice kiya woh Aditya tumhe kaise ghoor raha tha?" Shravan questioned Sumo.
"Woh ghoor nahin raha tha. Woh sirf meri help kar raha tha," Sumo replied carefully so as not to anger Shravan.
"Yeh sirf aaj ki baat nahin hai Sumo. Woh hamesha tumhare peeche hi laga rehta hai aur tumse chipak kar sabhi jagah jata hai. Aur aaj toh woh tumhe aise dekh raha tha jaise woh tumhe khaa hi jaayega. Kitna irritating aur clingy banda hai," Shravan said grinding his teeth.
"Shravan...mujhe na kahin se jalne ki badhbu aarahi hai. Fire brigade ko bulau?" Sumo laughed.
"Sumo, yeh hasne ki baat nahin hai. Tum jaanti ho iska matlab kya hai na? Woh tumhe dost nahin par usse kuch zyada hi manta hai," Shravan replied intensely.
"Shravan aisa kuch nahin hai. Hum sirf dost hai. Just calm down okay. Shaadi ka maahol hai. Please gussa mat ho," Sumo said in an attempt to calm him down.
"Sumo," Shravan said as he grasped her shoulder gently, "Main chahta hoon ki hum apne baare mein humare families ko sab kuch bata dein woh bhi jaldi se jaldi."
"Itni jaldi, kyun?" Suman questioned.
"Varna nanaji tumhari shaadi uss Aditya ke saath kar denge," Shravan said with irritation coating his voice.
"Shravan, aisa kuch nahi hoga okay. Relax. Main sirf tumse pyaar karti hoon aur kisi aur se shaadi karne ke baare mein toh soch bhi nahi sakti. Hum apni families ko bahot jald sab kuch bata denge, theek hai," Sumo replied softly holding Shravan's hands.
Just then Shravan enveloped Sumo into a tight hug. Sumo hugged him back tightly knowing that he feared losing her just like he lost his mom. No words were needed for them to convey their emotions to each other. They both knew each other very well and for them, their eyes and actions did all the talking. Sumo returning his hug tightly reassured Shravan that she would not leave him, ever.
After a few more seconds, Sumo pulled away from the hug.
"Ab main jaun? Preeti aur Pushkar ki shaadi hone wali hai," Sumo smiled at Shravan lovingly while he just nodded and let her go.
*During Preeti and Pushkar's Wedding*
It was now time for the pheras and the dulha and dulhann had stood up to complete them. As Preeti and Pushkar were walking around the mandap, everyone else were showering them with flower petals.
Sumo soon felt herself being pelted with flower petals and turned around to see Shravan smiling cheekily and continuing to throw the flower petals at her. She tried to make him stop but to no avail. She smiled helplessly and couldn't help but find Shravan's actions cute. Nobody else noticed the love-birds' cute moment except for Aditya. He already had a feeling that something was going on between the two but he didn't want to believe it. Now, he looked on sadly and felt heartbroken because he had finally realized that Suman could never be his; her and Shravan were made Ek Duje Ke Vaaste.
