He woke up to the rays of the sun seeping through the curtains.He turned around and saw her in her most peaceful and innocent state.He propped up on one elbow,hovering over the sleeping form next to him and a smile immediately came on his lips.The smile broadened, including the dimple as he studied her beautiful face with all feeling as though he was seeing her for the first time and the last fearing that she was only a figment of his imagination and would vanish any moment.

He reached out his other hand, his fingers running along her rosy cheeks which were stained with dry tears from last night. He placed a kiss on her nose in the most gentle manner so as not to wake her up.

His mind flashed back to the moment he had first met her, to all their tashan, all their cute and loving memories and he mentally cringed as he thought of the bitter, hurt filled encounters and all those painful years of loneliness that had now flew by. Dismissing those thoughts, he smiled, fresh tears forming as he realised she was there, with him.

The night before, they had got married again. The entire family was whole, happy, everything seemed right again. He had cried in her arms as she did in his, overwhelmed at the turn of events.Finally they were together again and this time he had promised to himself that he won't ever let her go away from him again,no matter what.And then they made passionate love after 7 long years.

His thoughts were suddenly brought to a halt as he felt her moving.She flinched a little and furrowed her eyebrows, groaning and shifting more towards him in her sleep as the sun rays disturbed her peaceful slumber.

He trailed his hand to her bare waist, gently pulling her into him, so as to hide her face in his chest, He then glided his fingers through her hair softly, looking down at her. She was thinner now and there were dark circles under her eyes,as if she hadn't slept for many days.

He planned to make up for everything she had gone through, just for him. To shower her with his love and care,to never lie again,to support her through thick and thin.He let a sad chuckle escape his mouth as he remembered the way he blamed her for not being able to be a good wife,a good DIL and had assumed her to be a bad mother.He remembered the way she cried because she had been in just as much pain as him. "Not anymore, my Shona" He whispered to her, or to himself, he was not quite sure, but he bent to drop a kiss on her hair, and as if sensing him, she curled into his body, her curves pressing into him, her arms wrapping around his torso and he smiled in comfort when her warm steady breath caressed his chest.He closed his eyes, reveling in the moment, a moment of pure bliss. His wife, tucked into his body, which almost seemed like a dream after being without the feel of her creamy silky skin against his for years, her arms around him, holding him as if there were no tomorrow, his arm draped on her waist, drifting to her hair and face occasionally, as they lay on their bed, in their room. It felt surreal and before he realised, a tear rolled down his cheek.

She felt his touch, his fingers in her hair, And when she felt something cold and wet hit her forehead, her eyes finally cracked opened, to the sight of his chest. Pressing a kiss there, she asked, "You're up already? and pulled out of his embrace to look at him.Smiling down at her,and grinned slightly "I love to watch you like this,sleeping like an angel" he said in his oh so husky voice.She smiled and let her fingers trail over his face, his forehead, his eyes, down his pointed nose and as she brushed her thumb across his lips, they kissed her softly.

She drawled herself up,wrapped in the white sheet meeting his face and sitting up a little, before going forward to kiss away the tears that were now beginning to fall again."Don't you think we've cried enough last night? She said, but her own eyes brimmed for she knew very well what he was feeling. "I don't think I will ever get over this feeling, of waking up, and seeing you here, where you should be. He said softly, looking into her eyes and interlocking their fingers."I'm here to stay, so fear not, She sighed and ran her palm through his hair, and leaned up to him, catching him off guard a little by pressing her lips against his for a quick peck.

As she moved away,trying to get up,he pulled her back and she landed on top of him,he tightly wrapped his hands around her and said "Don't you think you are forgetting something my dear wifey?"

"I love you" she said looking into his light brown orbs as she cupped his cheek and he kissed the inside of her palm.

"I love you too"He said capturing her petal like lips in a deep kiss,after so many years they felt complete being back in each other's arms again and cherry on the cake in their lives was their daughter, their beautiful little angel Suhana.
